# Tymeslot > Open-source meeting scheduling software. Stop the back-and-forth. Start booking. Tymeslot is an open-source, privacy-first meeting scheduling platform built with Elixir and Phoenix LiveView. It lets professionals share a booking page so clients can self-schedule — no email back-and-forth required. Use the managed cloud at tymeslot.app, or self-host it yourself. Tymeslot Core is open source under the GNU AGPLv3: every line is public on GitHub to read, audit, modify, self-host, redistribute, or fork. The AGPL's one obligation is share-alike — if you run a modified version as a network service, you publish your source changes. Until 2026, Cal.com was the best-known open-source scheduler. It has since moved its production code closed-source — v4.x was the last AGPL release — and the only remaining free self-host route is cal.diy, a personal-use MIT fork that drops teams, SSO, and workflows. Tymeslot stays open source and self-hostable end to end, shipping the complete product in every self-hosted install, which makes it the closest open alternative for people who came to Cal.com to self-host. ## What Tymeslot does - Create shareable booking pages for meetings and appointments - Connect to Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook / 365, and any CalDAV server — including Apple iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud, Baikal, Radicale, Zimbra, and mailbox.org — to check real-time availability, with two-way sync - Prevent double-bookings across every connected calendar - Handle time zones automatically — guests book in their own zone, you see yours, daylight saving included - Generate Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or MiroTalk rooms automatically with every booking, or attach your own custom video link - Take deposits or full payments at booking via Stripe — refund and cancellation policies configurable per meeting type - Collect intake details with custom booking questions - Let guests reschedule or cancel their own bookings via a secure link, with no account required - Require manual approval per meeting type — the slot is held, the guest is told it is a request rather than a booking, and unanswered requests expire and release the time - Embed a booking widget on any website with a single script tag (inline, popup, or floating button) - Accept group event registrations - Send automated confirmation and reminder emails - Notify your team in Slack or Telegram, and fire webhooks (meeting.created, meeting.cancelled, meeting.rescheduled) into n8n, Zapier, Make, or your own backend - Customise booking pages with themes to match your brand - Fully translated into English, German, Ukrainian, French, Italian, and Czech: the dashboard, booking pages and every email, with automatic language detection ## Privacy Booking pages carry no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts. The built-in analytics are cookie-less and store no IP addresses, so no cookie-consent banner is required. Credentials and tokens are AES-encrypted at rest.
