For Yoga Instructors

Yoga Booking Software for Private Lessons

Students book one-to-one lessons, in the studio or online, from the link in your bio. The booking page loads no advertising trackers, and the video link arrives on its own.

The Problem

Why do yoga teachers lose private students to booking friction?

Private lessons are where an independent yoga teacher earns properly, and they are often arranged in the slowest possible way: a DM at midnight, a reply the next morning, a time that no longer suits. Online students need a video link, and someone has to remember to send it. A student who found you on Instagram and waited a day for an answer may have booked someone else by then. Tymeslot gives you one booking page for privates, in the studio or online, that sits in your bio and answers at any hour.

Why studio platforms miss the mark for independent yoga teachers

Studio platforms are built to run a timetable of group classes, with a reception desk, class passes and memberships. If you teach your group classes at a studio that already handles all that, you do not need a second system for them. What is left is your own work: private lessons, online one-to-ones, a lesson in a student's home, a short consultation before someone commits.

That is the part Tymeslot is for. Each kind of private lesson gets its own meeting type, length and link. Online lessons create a video room on their own. Minimum notice stops a 7am lesson being booked at midnight. On Pro, the lesson fee is taken when the student books, so a no-show has already paid. Tymeslot books one student per slot; it does not run group classes with a head count.

Features

Everything Yoga Instructors need. Nothing they don't.

Scheduling features shaped around how your practice works.

📅

A Meeting Type for Each Kind of Private

Offer 60 and 90-minute privates, home lessons and a short consultation as separate meeting types, each with its own length, price and link. Make one private to keep it off your public page and share it only with regular students.

🎥

Video Rooms for Online Lessons

One lesson type can offer the studio or online. When a student chooses online, Tymeslot creates a Google Meet, Zoom, Jitsi or MiroTalk room and puts the link in the confirmation.

⏰

Minimum Notice Before Early Lessons

Set a minimum notice of up to a week, so nobody books tomorrow's 7am private after you have gone to bed. Students who open the page late see the next time that still works.

💳

Lesson Fees at Booking

On Pro, connect your own Stripe account and charge a fixed fee for each lesson type when the student books. The lesson is confirmed once the payment clears, so there is nothing to chase by DM afterwards.

🔗

A Booking Link for Your Bio

Put the link in your Instagram bio or a story highlight, or embed the booking page on your website inline, as a popup or as a floating button.

🌍

Lesson Times in the Student's Time Zone

Your booking page shows free times in the student's own time zone, detected from their browser, and they can switch it. Confirmation emails use the same zone, so an online student abroad never turns up an hour early.

Before & After

See the difference

Same profession. Completely different scheduling experience.

Without Tymeslot

1 Student sends a DM asking when you have a private free
2 Back-and-forth on Instagram or WhatsApp to settle a time
3 You send the video link and a reminder by hand before the lesson

With Tymeslot

1 Student taps the booking link in your Instagram bio
2 Picks a time, chooses studio or online, and pays if you ask them to
3 Confirmation with the video link and automatic reminders follow
Use Cases

Common scheduling scenarios

How other Yoga Instructors use Tymeslot every day.

Scenario 1

How do yoga teachers fit private lessons around a studio class timetable?

Many independent teachers take group classes at one or two studios on fixed evenings and fill the rest of the week with privates. The privates have to fit around the classes, with time to travel between them.

  • Connect the calendar your studio classes live in. Those classes show as busy, so no student can book a private on top of your Tuesday evening class.
  • Create a studio private and an online private, or one meeting type with both locations for the student to choose.
  • Set a buffer on your availability schedule, for example 20 minutes, so there is time to get from a studio class to a private.
  • Add retreat weeks and holidays as time off, and those days disappear from your booking page.
Result: Privates fill the gaps around your classes, and nothing is ever booked over a class you already teach.
Scenario 2

How do yoga teachers stop late-night bookings for early lessons?

A private booked at midnight for 7am gives you no time to plan a sequence for someone with a stiff back or a first lesson in years. Minimum notice prevents it without you watching your phone.

  • Set a minimum notice of 10 hours on the schedule your privates use. A student who opens the page at 11pm sees 9am as the first time on offer.
  • Set a booking horizon of six weeks so students book ahead but never into the months you have not planned yet.
  • If home lessons need more preparation, give them their own schedule with a 24-hour notice.
  • Each booking arrives with the student's answers to your booking questions, so you plan the sequence before you arrive.
Result: Early lessons are only booked when you have time to prepare for them, and you never have to decline one by message.
Scenario 3

How do yoga teachers turn Instagram followers into private students?

Instagram is where many new students first see your teaching. If getting from your profile to a lesson takes three DMs, many stop at the first one. A booking link in your bio takes them straight to a time.

  • Create a free 30-minute intro consultation with its own link and a short booking horizon, so new students can start without committing to a full private.
  • Add a few booking questions (a Pro feature): how long they have practised, what they want from private lessons, and a yes or no on injuries.
  • Put the link in your bio. The student books, picks studio or online, and gets the confirmation with the video link straight away.
  • Reminders go out 24 hours and an hour before, and after the consultation you send the link to your regular privates.
Result: New students go from your profile to a booked consultation without a single DM.

Intake questions

  • How long have you been practising yoga, if at all?
  • What would you like from private lessons?
  • Is there an injury or condition I should know about before we start? Yes or no is enough here.
  • For online lessons: do you have a mat and enough space to lie down?

Studio and online share one lesson type, so the student chooses and only online bookings get a video link. The intro has a shorter horizon and home lessons need travel time and more notice, so each of the three needs its own availability schedule.

Intake questions and payments at booking are part of Pro on the managed service, and free when you self-host.

How to choose

What to check before you choose

  • Check whether you can take payment or a deposit at booking, and on which plan.
  • Try booking from your website and from your Instagram bio, as a client would.
  • Check which reminders are on offer and when they go out before a session.
  • Decide whether you need class packs and memberships in the same tool, or one-to-one booking.
  • Compare the monthly cost with how many sessions you run in a month.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tymeslot GDPR compliant for yoga teachers?

Tymeslot's booking pages for yoga teachers are hosted in Germany and load no advertising trackers or third-party analytics, so a student who taps the link in your Instagram bio is not followed by an ad pixel once they arrive. On tymeslot.app, Google reCAPTCHA loads once a client starts filling in the booking form, to block spam bookings; a self-hosted instance runs it only if you configure it. Visits are counted by one cookieless page-view event sent to Tymeslot's own analytics. Students give their name, email and whatever your booking questions ask. GDPR responsibilities for your student list stay with you, and a signed data processing agreement is available on the Enterprise plan, not on Free or Pro. Self-hosting keeps every booking on a server you run.

Can Tymeslot run group yoga classes with a class timetable?

No, Tymeslot is booking software for yoga teachers' one-to-one work: private lessons, online sessions and consultations, booked one student per slot, with no class capacity, waitlist or class passes. If you teach group classes, keep them on the studio's system or the tool you already use, and connect that calendar so your classes block private bookings. A student can bring a partner to a private lesson as a guest, and both get the confirmation and reminders.

How can yoga teachers stop no-shows for private lessons?

Yoga teachers using Tymeslot make a missed private lesson a paid one by charging the fee through their own Stripe account when the student books (a Pro feature), and send reminders so fewer are missed at all. Set reminders such as 24 hours and an hour before; the second catches the student who booked a lunchtime lesson that morning. The fee is a fixed amount per lesson type, the lesson is confirmed once it clears, and the managed service adds a 0.5% platform fee to Stripe's own. Tymeslot does not enforce a cancellation cut-off, so put your policy in the lesson description. When you cancel a paid lesson yourself, you can refund it in the same step.

How does Tymeslot compare with Mindbody for yoga teachers?

Tymeslot is a booking page with a free plan for a yoga teacher's private lessons, while Mindbody is business software for studios that handles classes, appointments and payments, with plans starting at €99 a month per location. Mindbody's privacy policy says data is stored in the United States and the UK. If you own a studio with a timetable and a front desk, that kind of system is built for it. If you teach privates and online one-to-ones on your own, Tymeslot does that part, hosted in Germany or on your own server.

Can a yoga teacher self-host Tymeslot?

A yoga teacher can run Tymeslot on a small server of their own, installed with Docker, Cloudron or Railway, and get lesson fees, booking questions and every other feature without a subscription or platform fee. The code is open source under the GNU AGPLv3. Self-hosting makes most sense if you, or whoever looks after your website, already runs a server and keeps it updated. Otherwise the managed service in Germany does the same job with no upkeep.

Is Tymeslot free for yoga teachers?

Yes, yoga teachers can offer privates, online one-to-ones and intro consultations on Tymeslot's free plan, with unlimited bookings, video links for online lessons, both booking themes, website embeds and reminder emails. Pro (€9/month) adds lesson fees at booking, so a missed 7am private has still been paid for, plus booking questions, analytics and automation, and removes Tymeslot branding from the page your students see.

Which calendars and video tools work with Tymeslot for online yoga?

Tymeslot creates a Google Meet, Zoom, Jitsi or MiroTalk room when a student books an online yoga lesson, and syncs every booking with Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple iCloud or a CalDAV calendar such as Nextcloud. If you teach online through a room Tymeslot does not connect to, add your usual link as a custom location instead. Busy times from your connected calendars block new bookings, and students never see what those events are.
